2017 - Week 34

August 21.
The best view of the solar eclipse I could get - it was pretty cloudy in Baltimore. I took the kiddos to the car wash (complete with cookies) and the grocery store (don't look to too excited to ride Harry, Nora!) so we could get back into the swing of our routine and have a fresh car and stocked fridge. CFA for lunch was on point with their kiddie meal craft!

August 22.
A typical summer day: sun dress, playground, icecream and bubbles. Perfect!

August 23.
A stroll through the park to feed the ducks, snacking and people watching, being silly on the playground and wrapping up the day with paleo chocolate chip cookies. Another great summer day.

August 24.
It was slightly cooler today (mid 60's) so the kiddos insister on wearing jackets...no it wasn't raining. Stopped off at our favorite - Zoe's for a snack box lunch, then a trip to Ikea to play on furniture and eat $1 icecream.

August 25.
Early workout in the park at the stairs - the kiddos even got in on the action. Then we walked to the waterfront and watched the boats. They always beg me to go on the water taxi. Today, on a whim, I said yes. We rode all around the harbor then stopped at Fort McHenry for a stroll around the grounds before heading back home. This was an extremely long, physically draining day for this pregnant momma of 2!

August 26.
Weekends are for going to the Tire Park with daddy, getting together with friends for dinosaur birthday parties, eating cookies and watermelon for dinner and skipping naps to enjoy all the fun!

August 27.
Kids festival at the neighborhood church - face painting, moon-bouncing, crafts, games and exhausted kiddos! Momma and Daddy sat on the stoop for an evening date to enjoy the weather after the kiddos passed out by 6pm. Great weekend!

2017 - Week 33

August 14.
A little beach prep underway with some car entertainment from the $1 at Target. Then playing with our buddies and just enjoying the playroom. Both helped (watched) me make homemade CFA nuggets for dinner. On the nights I make these we all stand at the kitchen counter for dinner and eat while I cook.

August 15.
Movies, puzzles, pastel crafts and leftover nugget picnic. What more could you want on this rainy day?

August 16.
Left at 4am to head to the beach - brother did NOT enjoy the car ride and cried for 2 hours straight!! Once we arrived, it was all fun. We played on the beach all afternoon, rode waves, made sandcastles and then went to a cool spot with yard games and swings. Ended the night with the kids sleeping and a porch date with my hubby to watch fireworks.

August 17.
Another day of fun in the sun with the family. Digging in the sand, boogie boards, burying the kids in the sand, the out to eat at a super yummy burger place.

August 18.
Started my day early when Rad woke up before the sun, so I took him for a morning walk. We did some rooftop swimming despite the threat of a crazy rain storm, only to experience a beautiful rainbow!! The kiddos all had such a blast hanging together!! What a great vacation!

August 19.
Early morning treat from Duck Donuts before meeting up with old Bham friends Christian, Paige and Bowman. So great to catch up with them...it had been 3 years since we'd seen them in person! Wrapped up the trip with a 7 (!!!) hour trip home...we were all ready to get out of the car.

August 20.
Back home and in the routine. Playing baseball in the park with daddy, chef Radford making "meals" for mommy and daddy, and just a little oral hygiene.

2017 - Week 32

August 7.
Morning snuggles with my little crew who isn't feeling great. After running an errand in the rain, we played old board games alllll afternoon. Don't you just love how 3 year olds make up rules to games?

August 8.
Sister wasn't feeling well - so we took a visit to the doctor...strep medication was given. Boo. A trip to Target for meds also resulted in ingredients to make slime. Both kiddos boycotted a bed nap, so we opted for a LONG walk along the water and a stroller nap, and still passssssed out at bedtime. Poor babes needed some rest.

August 9.
Another day at home with the sicky. Breakfast outside and some wall chalk art before 9am. Everyone was stir crazy, so we walked to Harris Teeter and the florist thought the kids were so cute she gave them a free balloon.

August 10.
Finally feeling better so we took a trip to the zoo with Kerry, Austin and Kyle. They loved the monkeys and the playground. Ha! Afternoon playing games that Kerry lent to us - new favorites are Zingo and Sneaky Snacky Squirrel.

August 11.
Lazy day - watching car and people, a trip to the park with a sucker and a few errands that resulted in passing out in the car.

August 12.
Daddy day!! We played at playgrounds, went out to eat, made silly faces and did shoulder rides for way too many blocks in the humidity! Loving having outside days with my whole crew.

August 13.
A trip to Port Discovery - they love going when Daddy can join us! Then playing at G's house with scooter, the tire pump and some badminton. Good form girlfriend.

2017 - Week 31

July 31.
Monday full of errands - enjoyed lunch at Wegmans, playing with our sunglasses in our noses and laying on giant poofs at Costco and painting with our new paint from Michael's. Overall a successful day.

August 1.
The crazines dressed themselves today complete with backpacks for a park adventure. Then I caught them in deep conversation at lunch time under their chair canopies...so cute! Daddy and I snuck again for a date...dinner at Verde (daddy enjoyed a special mushroom infused cocktail) for pizza, a walk along the water, and icecream. Perfect weather!

August 2.
A day full of sun and adventure. We stopped to enjoy the fountain in the park near our house before jogging the 2.5 miles to the innerharbor splash pad to celebrate Kellen's birthday! Fountains, icecream and friends! What a fun day! (The worst part was the walk back!!)

August 3.
Early morning shopping results in kiddos eating sugar cookies at 8am. Ooops. Brother with his superman cape helped me make a cherry chocolate cake - obviously stealing lots of cherries during the process. Stooping while we wait for the cousins to come visit for dinner. A little rain didnt stop them from having a watergun fight (as we watched from inside). Ha.

August 4.
Exploring our park - pictures at the Pagoda, snacks in the park, dressing silly - Rad chose to wear that headband!, and stomping through puddles. All in a good days adventure.

August 5.
Daddy had to work, so we set out with chalk and a ball to the waterfront thinking we'd have a low key morning and stumbled onto a free kids fishing event. They had a blast and Nora even caught one of the biggest fish of the day! Afternoon was super low key in pjs watching shows.

August 6.
BOTH kiddos sick!!! YUCK!! This is pretty much what the entire day looked like. We watched 4 movies, everyone napped a lot, and we fought fevers. No fun.

2017 - Week 30

July 24.
Started the week off with a play date in the county with our buddies Mary, Mazie and Andrew. Loved being outside and catching up with them!! Then I tackled my first every road trip with the kids alone...drove 3.5 hours to Richmond to visit with daddy while he was on the road. The kids were so excited about staying in a hotel - Nora snuggled with momma in the big bed and Rad was so exhausted for the day's events.

July 25.
Getting ready with daddy for work. Went with the cousins to a farm/petting zoo. Got to see buffalo, goats, cows, and lots of other animals. Then enjoying the afternoon with rooftop pool party.

July 26.
Exploring a playground with the cousins in rural Richmond. Super fun and SUPER hot! Afternoon swimming again to cool off - Rad's new favorite place to sit in the stroller..at the very front.

July 27.
Stopped off in the middle-of-no-where Virginia on the way home for some blackberry picking and sunflower picture taking. The kids had a blast and we had the entire pick-your-own field to ourselves! With this stop, a lunch/potty stop and crazy traffic...the trip took almost 5.5 hours. Doing that solo with 2 kids is not the top of my to-so list again anytime soon.

July 28.
Lazy day at home recovering from yesterday's travel adventures. Bubble baths, playing with Dracula teeth, reading books to our buddies, making beanie baby trains and trying on all of sissy's necklaces and headbands before bed.

July 29.
Casual Saturday at home while it rained. Long run on the treadmil before everyone woke up, taking EVERY drawer and shelf out of my fridge and deep cleaning it (nesting mode already). Brother in mommy's old dance costumes stacking pantry items and silly rides through the kitchen with sissy...you know - the usual.

July 30.
The weather finally allowed for us to get out! We took a walk for a family breakfast at the local diner - complete with both kiddos chowing down on jelly packets, played in two different parks, got icecream and enjoyed the sunshine.

2017 - Week 29

July 17.
Casual Monday at home coloring on the stoop, sidewalk chalk, putting flowers in mommy's hair and playing with ALL out small stuffed animals (anyone need some?). We got to meet sweet Juliet for the first time...such a treat to have she and her momma over for lunch! Rad loved having a baby around.

July 18.
Happy Birthday to Papa. Family dinner with the cousins to celebrate Chaz's grandparents being in town. Fun time with everyone over dinner and yummy homemade cheesecake!

July 19.
My silly kids...Rad LOVES to be held like a baby after a shower in his Mickey towel, trying on glasses at Harris Teeter is always sure to be a hit and why not rearrange all of mommy's kitchen drawers in the afternoon? Rad took a stroller nap, so sissy and I snagged a free cone at the new icecream place in town - Bmore Licks.

July 20.
SUPER hot day in Baltimore...playground fun before 9am left us super sweaty!! Swings, slides with out buddies and smiles on the stoop before a car movie and snack while running some errands.

July 21.
Playdate with our buddy Jenny and Emi at Play Cafe...Nora was working hard on her computer and Rad was just cheesing about how much fun he had when we left. Playing with silly face apps is always sure to be a hit with kids!! OMG too funny.

July 22.
Early morning family pool date at the community pool in the park. Then daddy went to a concert, so we went to the mall - carousel rides, playing at the Disney store and killing time in Zoe's while it monsooned ran outside.

July 23.
Casual Sunday at home in pjs before a park photo session for the announcement of baby #3!! We made homemade paleo pizza and took more crazy family selfies. Love my little crew and our weekends together!
