2017 - Week 50

December 10.
First snow of the season. We ventured outside to play - making a snowman, snowballs, angels and enjoying family time.

December 11.
Morning adventures: a chilly walk thru the park followed by a playdate with Sweden and Dawn. THe kiddos made a mess making pizza. Afternoon painting in our halloween costumes and a car snooze (because regular naps are overrated these days) for Rad on the way to Nora's dance.

December 12.
COLD morning walk with brother while sister is at school. Then employing the kiddos to help with thank you notes - lots of stickers involved. AND the first night both kiddos slept on the top bunk together. They were SOOOO EXCITED!!

December 13.
My belly is getting HUGE and Nora loves to snuggle with it. My ankle veins are also looking huge - I've resorted to wearing my compression socks almost 100% of the time to help with swelling and pain. Brother was a hot mess most of the day and finally napped...allowing for some alone time with the princess.

December 14.
A date at the library with brother. Sister excited to show me her Happy Birthday Jesus crown and wreath craft. Then some play time in the kids rooms for the afternoon.

December 15.
Adventures in our first preschool Christmas program. It was late and Rad was SO over it, but we loved hearing those sweet little voices singing Away in A Manger. Thanks to Aunt Hil and Ava for tagging along!

December 16.
EARLY start for a full day in NYC. We visited Santa at Macys, went to M&M world, walked through Times Square and Rockefeller Center, saw the huge tree and enjoyed some snow!!

2017 - Week 41

October 9.
A hodge podge of a day: paleo cookies, books and dressing up, dance class and making a HUGE mess of tortillas for dinner.

October 10.
Date with Radford to the bookstore while sister was at school - he loved all the giant stuffed animals. Nora was random in her afternoon requests: a halloween craft, wearing her halloween costume for book reading and wearing her superman cape while painting. You do you girl.

October 11.
These two are sooooo silly. Church then a stop off at Toys R Us for new umbrellas for the kiddos. And of course trying out the cars that were just their size...Nora asked for one for Christmas saying she can park it on the curb like momma and daddy do! Ha!

October 12.
Errands with bother while sister was at school - hanging with a narwal and testing out ALL the trucks at HomeGoods. Sister played in mommas old dance recital costumes during Rad's nap. Flash back to many, many years ago!!

October 13.
Today we threw one of our stuffed animals a birthday party, went to BJ's for the weekly grocery run, "painted" the entry hall with spatulas and played at the park with daddy. Overall, a good day!

October 14.
Fun day at Baugher's with the cousins, G and Pops! We rode pony's, picked apples, petting animals, jumped in the moon bounce and enjoyed a meal out. Rounded out the day with carving pumpkins at home with daddy. They loved seeing them lit up!

October 15.
Relaxing day of sleeping in and hanging with the family watching football. Everyone was in silly moods and momma didn't take many pictures.

2017 - Week 42

October 16.
Park workout in one of the first COLD days of the season...they enjoyed the rainbow theme. Then playing at home for the afternoon - baby dolls, snacks and a little karaoke.

October 17.
Brother and I did some birthday shopping and park digging while Nora was at school. Today she insisted on wearing momma's scarf because she "is so grown up". During Rad's nap she wanted to try on all her snow gear and make a "triangle" craft...this owl was the best (quickest) one I could come up with.

October 18.
Church then some park playtime. Sister asked for an Elsa braid today. Love it! And they love selfies. After bedtime momma stayed up way too late making snacks for Nora's class the next day.

October 19.
Today Nora requested 2 braids so she could look like Anna. We went to the mall to get my watch fixed and they loved playing at the Apple store and the play area. We did a quick stop at Webers farm to enjoy some candy sticks and slides in the sunshine.

October 20.
Waiting for packages - only was to do that is naked with shoes and spatulas out the mail slot. Ha! We had a lazy day at home playing, painting, and relaxing. We escaped for a later afternoon park workout and play time with Daddy.

October 21.
Long walk downtown meant that everyone wanted a treat by the end of the day. Great day relaxing with the family.

October 22.
Happy 2nd Birthday to our sweet boy Radford!! He enjoyed sprinkle donuts, too many presents, a blue cars cake and fun time with family. Thanks to the cousins, Aunt Hil, Uncle Patrick, G and Pops for helping us celebrate in the afternoon.

2017 - Week 43

October 23.
Brother's 2 year check up went great (given the shots). He's 30# (85%) and 34" (50%). He's changing and growing so much every day. He talks a TON, is a few weeks into potty training and still loves his momma the most. Sister even got a fly shot - which she wasn't happy about. Spent the afternoon playing with brother's new train tracks and finding some chalk drawings to explore while sister was in dance class.

October 24.
Brother joined me for a workout and wanted to participate. Sister was all about posing today - before school and again after her random request for me to quickly make her a cow costume. HA! Painting before dinner tonight.

October 25.
Church, lunch date out and skipping naps made for interesting attitudes all afternoon. By the time we escaped to the library in the late afternoon everyone was exhausted!

October 26.
Brother and I ventured to Storyville while sister was at school. He loved his alone time with mommy today! Nora was super excited to show us the mask she made in art class and read the books we got from the library the week before.

October 27.
Park play date in the morning...followed by errands - new undies for all, a quick stop at Ulta where they had to play with the sample (eek!), and ChickFilA icecream on the porch.

October 28.
Lazy day at home - dressing up, enjoying out new haunted house coloring fort, and practicing feeding babies!!

October 29.
Brother spent a majority of the day in a bad mood...but took a great nap and woke up all snuggly. Nora and I spent nap time practicing her alphabet and doing a makeover - she did her own nails and I did her hair and makeup. She loved being pampered.

2017 - Week 40

October 2.
Another Monday...started lazy with tv shows and snuggling with our buddies, people watching on the stoop, then a park playdate and dance class.

October 3.
Brother loves rocks SO much, sometimes he just hugs them at the park!! Sister decorated some bracelets and then everyone accompanied me to my monthly check up. All is good with baby boy!

October 4.
Pumpkin petting before church. After church we went to TCBY for "99 cent Waffle Cone Wednesday"...yes, we had icecream for lunch. YUM! Sister did some checkups on her buddies during Rad's naptime.

October 5.
Nora's first fieldtrip was to an alpaca farm!! She got to walk it, feed sheep, brush some wool, make a cool braclet and learn a fun bible story about God and creation. She had a blast and so did brother - so glad he got to tag along!

October 6.
Weekend away to celebrate baby #3 with my hubby!! We drove 3 hours to Charlottesville, VA. We went on a tour of Monticello and saw Thomas Jefferson's grave site. We rented a tiny cabin through AirBandB which was a perfect QUIET retreat from the regular routine. We enjoyed a dinner out in the downtown area before sitting outside our cabin for hours watching stars and talking life - we even saw 2 shooting stars!

October 7.
Another fun vacation day. We started with brunch on UVA campus at The Pigeon Hole...it was game day against Duke and the place was slamming - we felt like college kids again. We shopped, went to Jefferson winery for a wine tasting (don't worry, I only tasted a few), went to a bourbon distillery with the most amazing view, then headed back downtown for another fun evening of dinner, icecream, people watching and siteseeing.

October 8.
Woke up to cold, rainy weather. We made the drive to Carter Mountain apple orchard anyway...the view was amazing!! So were the apple cider donuts, the fresh picked apples and the apple pie! We stopped for brunch before headed home. I enjoyed a little too much coffee - first time having french press in WAY too long. What an amazing get away with the hubs - perfect refresh before life gets even crazier with 3!!

2017 - Week 39

September 25.
Started the day off with peanut butter cups in the foyer for breakfast. Followed by some chicken drawings, painting and Nora's dance class. Grammy also arrived to day for a visit!!

September 26.
Took Rad to his favorite park while sister was at school, then introduced Grammy to Play Cafe for lunch. Afternoon movie snuggles, then my mom and I had a pizza date to catch up on life and enjoy a girls night.

September 27.
Took the kiddos to Webers Farm with my mom. We ate apple cider donuts, rode the hay ride, did the yard slides, picked pumpkins, came home and decorated said pumpkins and enjoyed some Grammy snuggles.

September 28.
While sister was at school, Rad enjoyed shopping with a cake pop and trying out allllll the umbrellas at Carters. Then we ventured north to Annie's Playground to check out Maryland's largest playground. It didn't disappoint - they had a blast!

September 29.
Last day with Grammy in town...shopping in Fells, lunch date out, icecream, another playground and enjoying some amazing weather!!

September 30.
Lazy day...sister carried her American flag around almost all day - she's obsessed with it!! Brother was introduced to the idea of potty training with the reward of candy - not much luck so far. Then we decided to rearrange sister's room to make for more space. She loves it!

October 1.
Fun day with the cousins, Aunt Hil, Uncle Patrick and G. We watched football, ate yummy food, rode bikes and watched the kiddos scarf down cupcakes.

2017 - Week 38

September 18.
We headed to Target in our costumes, even playing at the playground in them!! We opened a few new chapters too...starting dance class and introducing big boy underwear! Great kickoff to a new week.

September 19.
Started the day with sister insisting on bringing her LeapPad in the car to school and brother waving at trucks. While sister was at school, we explored the park - tractors, trucks and playground playing. Then a little afternoon water table fun to soak up these last few days of summer weather.

September 20.
Hung with Aunt Hilaire and the cousins after church. Waiting for Ava and Michael to finish their school day before getting an icecream treat from the icecream truck was the best afternoon!

September 21.
Another school day...brother wanted to be like sister and bring his bag. I took brother to the park to play with toy trucks and to HomeGoods for an errand before taking them to PureRawJuice for an acai bowl...they weren't sure what to think about it. I ate most of it. Then an evening playdate with Kerry, Austin and Kyle...it's been too long since we've seen them!

September 22.
Lazy Friday!! Chalk all morning followed by an adventure in pjs and boots to the park for a workout, leaf collecting and watching the fountain. Daddy took us to dinner at the local pizza place!

September 23.
Baltimore Book Festival at the Inner Harbor. The kiddos got to meet their favorites - Daniel Tiger and Curious George. We painted pumpkins, played games and sister even did the "spelling bee" correctly spelling her name, Rad's name and doing her ABC's all in the microphone!

September 24.
Brother slept 19 hours after a LONG day in the sun yesterday...he preferred some snuggles with mommy over doing anything else. Daddy and Nora enjoyed their snuggles while mommy cleaned and did laundry waiting for brother to wake up.
